Robert "Bob" Scott Fitch, 77, of Troy, IL, passed away peacefully at his residence on Saturday, March 14, 2026.

He was born October 1, 1949, in Poplar Bluff, MO, to the late Wallace and Ora Fern (Ragland) Fitch.

Bob married Carol Sue Heuermann on March 26, 1977, in Poplar Bluff, and she survives.

He attended Murray State University and in 1972 joined A.G Edwards and Sons, Inc (now Wells Fargo Advisors) where he worked in the Margin Dept.  He and Carol met at A G. Edwards and both worked there until they retired after 48 years of service.

Bob enjoyed spending time outdoors and especially loved fishing, playing golf, hunting and taking float trips on the Missouri rivers.  Later in life The Great Smoky Mountains became Bob's favorite fall destination and he and Carol made many happy memories there.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Wallace "Randy" Fitch.

Bob is survived by his sister-in-law, DeLinda Fitch and nephews Jonathan (Charlene) Fitch and Jeffrey (Michele) Fitch as well as many great nephews and nieces.

Bob's ability to come up with a joke or humorous quip at a moment's notice will be greatly missed by his extended family and friends.

In accordance with his wishes, Bob will be cremated and no public services will be held.
