Robert L. "Fritz" Mirly, age 85 of Freeburg, IL, formerly of Collinsville, IL, born October 22, 1934 in Oak Ridge, MO, passed away on Tuesday, February 18, 2020 at the Freeburg Care Center in Freeburg, IL.

Fritz was the former owner and operator of the Silver Scissor Barber Shop in Collinsville, IL. He was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Collinsville, IL.  He enjoyed fishing and gardening.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy nee Binginheimer Mirly; parents, Walter and Roxie nee Dickerson Mirly; a brother, Jack Mirly; three sisters:  Betty Jaegles, Carolyn Huter and an infant sister Magalee Mirly.

He is survived by two daughters:  Brenda (Tom Schaefer) Mirly, and Sally (Tom) Anderson; a son, Dr. Harvey Mirly; five grandchildren:  Sarah (Jonathan) Swedburg, Hannah Anderson, Jordan, Anna Kate and Noah Mirly; a sister, Laverne Ross; numerous nieces and nephews.

Upon his request, Fritz was cremated and services will be held at a later date.  He will be buried next to his wife in Perryville, MO.
