Obituary

Robert A. Little, age 74 of Glen Carbon, IL born July 6, 1946 in DuQuoin, IL, passed away on Sunday, July 19, 2020 at his residence with his wife by his side.

Robert grew up in DuQuoin, IL.  He attended Southern Illinois University at Carbondale, and Winona School of Photography, then started life as a DJ in Kansas City at KXOL.  With a background in AV, he was asked to work at Dorill Photography, shooting pictures of St. Louis Cardinals games, Laclede news magazine and commercially.  His wife to be, joined the business later, which they eventually came to run and own as Allied Photocolor in St. Louis, MO.  He enjoyed international travel, cars, classic rock, dance, and football.  He was active in Friedens United Church of Christ in Troy, IL as Sound Guy and Elevator Operator.  His sense of humor cheered all those around him.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Vernon and Lucille nee Prichett Little; a brother, Vernon Little, Jr.; and a sister, Doris Purcell.

He is survived by his loving wife of 37 years, Janis nee Kuhn Little, whom he married October 9, 1982.

Upon his request, Robert was cremated and a Celebration of Life will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, July 31, 2020 at Tri-Township Park in Troy, IL.

Memorials may be made in Robert's honor to Washington University School of Medicine or the Foundation for Barnes-Jewish Hospital and can be mailed to the funeral home.
