Robert Louis McGuire, age 83 of Collinsville, IL, born March 15, 1939 in East St. Louis, IL, passed away on Sunday, March 5, 2023 at St. Elizabeth's Hospital in O'Fallon, IL.

Robert graduated from Collinsville High School, Class of 1957.  He retired from the City of Collinsville Wastewater Treatment Plant.  He was an avid deer hunter, enjoyed fishing and camping, but most of all spending time with family.

He was preceded in death by his parents, James Edward and Bessie (nee McKnight) McGuire; wife, Judith "Judi" Ann (nee Graham) McGuire, whom he married October 20, 1962; a son, Donald Edward McGuire; a brother, Donald McGuire; and a sister, Dorothy Esterlein.

Surviving are his daughter, Tracy Murphy of Martin, TN; five grandchildren:  Courtney, Britney, Ashley, Katie and Megan; seven great-grandchildren; and many other extended family and friends.

Visitation will be 10 a.m. to 12 noon on Friday, March 10, 2023 at Barry Wilson Funeral Home in Maryville, IL.

Funeral service will follow at 12 noon with Pastor Jami Kyonka officiating.  Burial will be in St. John Cemetery, Collinsville, IL.
