Rodney K. Ingle, age 81 of Maryville, IL, born August 30, 1939 in Glezen, IN, passed away on Saturday, January 16, 2021 at Gateway Regional Hospital in Granite City, IL.

Rodney was a retired clerk from Union Pacific Railroad.  He was an Army Veteran, a member of Troy United Methodist Church, and a huge St. Louis Cardinals and Blues fan.  He was an avid baseball card collector and enjoyed working on classic cars.  Rodney never met a stranger.  He liked making friends and was a surrogate dad to many.  He will be dearly missed.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Elizabeth "Betty" Jeannette Ingle, whom he married August 15, 1969; and parents, Orval and Leona (nee Rumble) Ingle.

He is survived by a daughter, Jaime Ingle of Maryville; a brother-in-law, Pete Matovina of Laramie, WY; and his two feline companions, Daisey and Pumpkin.

Upon his request, he was cremated and a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.

Memorials may be made in Rodney's honor to Shriner's Hospital for Children and will be received at the funeral home.
