Roger Boyd Wilson, Sr., 75, of Lebanon, IL, passed away on Thursday, April 9, 2026, at Cedar Ridge Health & Rehab Center in Lebanon.

He was born January 6, 1951, in East St. Louis, IL, to the late Conley E. Wilson, Sr. and Myrtle Louise "Sue" (nee Allen) Wilson. Roger was a graduate of Cahokia High School and worked as a truck driver for many years. He found great joy in driving and especially cherished time spent with his wife, Janice, exploring the countryside and taking in the scenery together. He enjoyed playing cards and participating in meat shoots.

In addition to his parents, Roger was preceded in death by the love of his life, Janice (nee Spangenberg) Wilson, whom he married on August 25, 1989; and three brothers, Conley E. Wilson, Jr., Alan Paul Wilson, and James Wilson.

He is survived by his four children: Roger (Tricia) Wilson, Jr. of Caseyville, IL; Elaine (Chris) Hale of Warrenton, MO; Alicia (Anthony) Augustine of Belleville, IL; and Meghan (Jon) Herbeck of Overland Park, KS. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren, four great-grandchildren with one on the way; his brother, Kerry (Jackye) Wilson of Bethalto, IL; two sisters, Carol (David) Petry of O'Fallon, IL and Joann (William) Fiedler of Millstadt, IL; two sisters-in-law, LaVerne Wilson of Salem, OR and Linda Wilson of Shiloh, IL; along with numerous nieces, nephews.

In accordance with his wishes, Roger will be cremated and no public services will be held.
