Obituary

Ronald Mushill, age 63 of Maryville, IL, passed away on Sunday, January 22, 2023 at Missouri Baptist Medical Center in St. Louis, MO, surrounded by his loving family.

He was born in East St. Louis, IL on March 8, 1959 to the late Raymond and Marie (nee Racheff) Mushill.   He married his high school sweetheart, Renee (nee Manley) Mushill on May 14, 1983.

Ron was a retired carpenter from Carpenters Union #73 in St. Louis, MO.   He was a member of St. Cecilia Catholic Church in Glen Carbon, a St. Louis Cardinals and Blues fan, and enjoyed being part of the St. John Neumann Fantasy Football League.  He was a regular guest on The Rizzuto Show - 105.7 The Point and was known as "Nice Ron."

He was very proud and loved his three boys dearly.  When they were younger, he was a little league coach.  He loved being around his friends and family, and riding kids on the back of his wheelchair.  Ron didn't know a stranger, always had a smile to share, a joke to tell, and liked pulling pranks on people.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Angel; father-in-law, Gary Manley; and brother-in-law, Derek Manley.

Surviving are his devoted wife, Renee; three boys:  Justin (Kelly) Mushill of Maryville, IL, Logan Mushill of St. Louis, MO and Brennan (Molly Olsson) Mushill of Collinsville, IL; a brother, Raymond (Lana) Mushill II of Collinsville, IL; a sister, Cheri Mushill of Edwardsville, IL; mother-in-law, Josephine Manley of Fairmont City, IL; a sister-in-law, Monica Suarez of Fairmont City, IL; two nieces:  Cari Mushill and Mandi Mushill; and three nephews:  Raymond Mushill III, Matthew Suarez, Sr., and Matthew Suarez, Jr.
