Ronald Lee Pensoneau, 84, of Collinsville, IL, peacefully passed away on Wednesday, April 15, 2026, at Anderson Hospital in Maryville, IL, with his family by his side.

He was born on October 14, 1941, in East St. Louis, IL, to the late Edgar and Marie (née Gasawski) Pensoneau. Ronald graduated from East St. Louis High School with the Class of 1959.  He went on to build a career as a field engineer for an electronics company. He honorably served in the Unites States Army Reserves

Ronald found great joy in the simple pleasures of life. He enjoyed fishing, working in his yard, and spending time at his farm. Above all, he cherished the moments spent with his family, especially his beloved grandchildren.

He is survived by his loving wife, Susan (née Boyce) Pensoneau of Collinsville; two daughters, Cindy Pensoneau of Memphis, TN, and Karen (Joe Andresen) Pensoneau of Columbia, MO; three grandchildren, Samuel Lucas Pensoneau, Jackson Myles Kirby, and Sarah Katherine Andresen; and his sister, Dorothy (Jack) Eschmann of Oakville, MO.

A graveside service will be held at St. Paul Churchyard, 7600 S. Rock Hill Road, St. Louis, MO 63123, with Rev. Ron Habermehl officiating.
