Ronald C. Presson, age 71, of Collinsville, born November 10, 1948 in Murphysboro, IL, passed away on Sunday, January 5, 2020 at Memorial Hospital in Belleville, IL.

He was an entrepreneur and a businessman. He was also a school teacher in Collinsville Unit #10, having taught at Webster and Dorris Schools and coached football and wrestling at Collinsville High School. He was a historian, long-time little league coach, and civic leader.  He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and uncle.

Ronald was preceded in death by his father, Charles Presson.

He is survived by his mother, Marjorie ( nee Lindstrom) Presson of Collinsville, IL; his wife, Jean ( nee Davis) Presson; sons Patrick (Rebecca) Presson of Chesapeake, VA; Ryan (Sarah) Presson of Troy, IL; and Tim (Katie) Duba of Collinsville, IL; a brother, Frank (Debbie) Presson of Donnellson, IL; a sister, Patricia Presson of Washington; four grandchildren: Madison, Logan, Brock & Brinley; three nieces: Elizabeth, Erica and Terri; and two nephews: Shawn and Josh.

A private celebration of life will be held at a later date.
