Ruth J. Adorno, age 83 of Collinsville, IL, born August 26, 1933 in Carlyle IL, passed away at 12:17 p.m. on Monday, October 10, 2016 at the University Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Edwardsville IL.

Ruth was retired after 43 years as a legal secretary in New York. She was a member of S.S. Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Collinsville. She was a very devoted and beloved Aunt.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Salvatore Adorno whom she married on August 10, 1957; her parents, Fred and Olivia nee Krebs Junker; mother-in-Law and father-in-Law, Andrew & Rosana Adorno; two brothers, Joseph and Robert Junker; and a sister, Patricia Rice.

Ruth is survived by four nieces: Brenda Hanvey of Maryville IL, Jan (Cary) Kopczynski of Issaquah WA, Jane (Richard) Sessler of Bothel WA, and Sandra Leuhrs of Texas; two nephews: Craig (Barbara) Rice of Blue Eye MO, and Steve (Barbara) Junker of Las Vegas NV; plus many great nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Thursday, October 13, 2016 at Barry Wilson Funeral Home in Maryville, immediately followed by the funeral service at 7 p.m. with Father John Beveridge officiating.

Memorials may be made to Heartland Hospice or to the S.S. Peter & Paul Catholic Church Building Fund and will be received at the funeral home.
