Ruth M. Caswell, age 91 of Collinsville, IL, born January 24, 1931 in East St. Louis, IL, passed away on Friday, October 28, 2022 at University Care Center in Edwardsville, IL.

She graduated Collinsville High School in 1948 then went to work for the Illinois Power Company.  Ruth retired as a secretary from Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Collinsville where she was also a member and participated in many organizations.  After retirement, she worked for the Collinsville Township Office until 2013.  She enjoyed flower gardening but most of all spending time with her family.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert E. Caswell, whom she married September 22, 1956; a son, Robert C. Caswell; her parents, Carl and Bertha (nee Johann) Sepmeyer; and a sister-in-law, Viola Sepmeyer.

Surviving are her two children:  Riche' (Kenneth) Reynolds and Ryan (Andrea) Caswell both of Collinsville; three grandchildren:  Shara (Ryan) Toennies of Collinsville, Adam (Nicole) Reynolds of Collinsville and R. Aaron (Cassandra) Caswell of Campbell Hill, IL; three great-grandchildren:  Keygon, Azlynn and Lincoln Caswell; a brother, Carl Sepmeyer of Morehead City, NC; many nieces and nephews.

Private graveside services will be held at Holy Cross Lutheran Cemetery with Rev. Kyle Wright officiating.
