Ryan Patrick Murphy, age 47 of Collinsville, IL, born July 13, 1967 in East St. Louis, IL, passed away at 12:47 a.m. on Friday, August 22, 2014 at his residence.

Ryan was a 1985 Collinsville High School graduate. He was a member of St. John United Church of Christ in Collinsville, IL, a former member of Collinsville Jaycees, and volunteered at TEPEE helping with the May Dance every year.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Delores C. nee Morietta Murphy.

He is survived by his father, Ray Murphy of Collinsville, IL; a sister, Mary Kay (Mark) Burgess of Collinsville, IL; two nephews: Brant Burgess and Adam (Gina) Burgess both of Collinsville, IL; a great nephew, Aiden Burgess; an aunt, Helen (Buddy) Turner of Lawton, OK; and numerous cousins.

Visitation will be from 3pm to 7pm on Sunday, August 24, 2014 at Barry Wilson Funeral Home, 2800 North Center Street, Maryville, IL.

Graveside service will be at 11am on Monday, August 25, 2014 at St. John Cemetery, Collinsville, IL with Pastor Katie Jo Fuller officiating.

Memorials may be made to St. John Home & Community Care or St. John United Church of Christ and will be accepted at the funeral home.
