Sandra "Sandy" C. Phillips, age 77 of Edwardsville, IL, peacefully passed away on Sunday, March 23, 2025 at Evercare at University in Edwardsville.

She was born November 22, 1947, in East St. Louis, IL to the late Walter and Delphine (nee Craft) Tutka. She graduated from St. Theresa's Academy in 1965 and work as a paralegal. She enjoyed gardening, camping, and loved watching hummingbirds. Most of all she loved spending time with her family, especially her grandkids.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Bill Tutka; and a niece, Jeannie Runner.

Surviving is her loving husband, John M. Phillips, whom she married October 5, 1968; two beloved children: John M. Phillips, Jr. and Christy White; five grandchildren: Cheyenne, Joe, Easton, Ridge, and Jake; a brother, David (Cheryl) Tutka and their son, Justin Tutka; a sister, Jean Marie (Bill) Runner; a sister-in-law, Sandy Tutka; two nephews: Travis and Brian Tutka; and two nieces: Lisa (Eric) Bidart, and Stacy Longacre.

No service will be held at this time.
