Sarah Ann Collier, age 95 of Maryville, IL, formerly of Chicago, passed away on Wednesday, September 28, 2022, at Anderson Hospital in Maryville.

Sarah was born in Chicago, IL on February 19, 1927, to the late Isaac and Laura (nee Rollins) Foster.  She was a graduate of McKinley High School, Class of 1945.  She married Clay H. Collier from Philadelphia, MS. Sarah worked in the graphic arts/printing industry. She enjoyed spending time with friends and family. She had a passion for traveling, especially to see the ocean. She dabbled in astrology and numerology, never forgetting a birth date of anyone she met. Lady luck, she relished in the thrill of the casino floor, especially when the moon was in Aquarius.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Clay H. Collier Sr.; a son, Clay H. Collier, Jr.; two brothers; and three sisters.

Surviving are her five children:

Patricia Ann (Oddis) Johnson of Chicago, IL, Cornell Collier of Chicago, IL, Pamela (Darnell) Wright of Maywood, IL, Sandra (Stephen) Geiser of Maryville, IL, and Dennis J. Collier of Crown Point, IN; nine grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be 10 a.m. to 12 noon on Friday, October 7, 2022, at Barry Wilson Funeral Home, Maryville, IL.

Funeral service will follow at 12 noon.
