Sheila Y. Adams, age 81 of Maryville, IL, born October 13, 1940 in Cairo, IL, passed away on Monday, March 14, 2022 at Anderson Hospital in Maryville.

Sheila retired from Nooter Corporation after 27 years of service as a human resources administrator.  She was a member of Troy United Methodist Church and the Looking Glass Corvette Club. Sheila was an avid grandmother, and loved to do things for and with her grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles Orville and Dorothy Dimple (nee Stuart) Thomas.

She is survived by her husband, Kenneth D. Adams, whom she married January 2, 1982; five children:  Brian (Margie) Huffman of Maryville, IL, Brent (Amy) Huffman of Town and Country, MO, Mark Adams of Collinsville, IL, Lori Adams of Collinsville, IL and Stacy Adams of Collinsville, IL; 15 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; two brothers:  Keith Thomas of Lake Zurich, IL and Stephen "Butch" Thomas of Cape Girardeau, MO; a sister, Joyce Montgomery of Cape Girardeau, MO; numerous nieces and nephews.

Upon her request, Sheila will be cremated and memorial services will be held at a later date.

Memorials may be made in Sheila's honor to St. Jude Children's Hospital and will be received at Barry Wilson Funeral Home, 2800 N. Center Street, Maryville, IL 62062.
