Shelby Wayne Jones, age 82 of Edwardsville, IL, born June 7, 1942 in Greenville, KY, peacefully passed away on Monday, February 3, 2025 at Evercare of Edwardsville.

Shelby retired from Prairie Farms. He enjoyed going on walks, visiting his neighbors, and working in his yard. He was very friendly, treating every person like a potential friend, no matter if he met them before or not.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Shelby L. and Nettie (nee Middleton) Jones; 11 brothers and sisters; and his loving daughter, Lisa Ann Jones.

Surviving is his wife, Emma "Carolyn" Jones, whom he married May 26, 1967; a sister, Sue Costello of KY; numerous nieces and nephews.

Graveside service will be at 2 p.m. on Monday, February 10, 2025 at Sunset Hill Cemetery in Glen Carbon with Rev. Scott Schilbe officiating.

Memorials are suggested to St. Jude Children's Hospital and will be received at Barry Wilson Funeral Home, 2800 N. Center Street, Maryville, IL 62062.
