Shirley Mae Dorris, age 93 of Collinsville, IL, born August 28, 1928, in East St. Louis, IL, passed away on Sunday, July 31, 2022, at Anderson Hospital in Maryville, IL.

Shirley was the only child of the late Volney and Lucille (nee Murphy) White.  She married the love of her life, Daniel W. Dorris, on February 18, 1950, and they enjoyed 48 years together before his passing on September 19, 1998. They were the owners of the former Dorris Studios, Inc. in St Louis, MO and enjoyed entertaining their friends. Shirley was a member of Mother of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in Maryville, liked fashion, and was always coordinated.

She is survived by many loving friends and beloved godchildren.

Visitation will be 9:30 to 10:45 a.m. on Thursday, August 4, 2022, at Barry Wilson Funeral Home, Maryville, IL.

Funeral mass will follow the visitation at 11 a.m. at Mother of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, 200 N. Lange, Maryville, IL with Father Rob Johnson and Father John Beveridge celebrants.  Burial will be in St. John Cemetery, Collinsville.
