Sono "June" Dunahee, age 83 of Maryville, IL born November 17, 1931 in Japan, passed away at 3:35 p.m. on Sunday, August 23, 2015 at Gateway Regional Medical Center in Granite City, IL.

June was a homemaker, andenjoyed spending timewith her family.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Tsunagi Inariyama and Hatsu nee Osaka Inariyama; her husband, Kenneth Lee Dunahee, whom she married on October 3, 1955 in Japan; two brothers and two sisters.

She is survived by her daughter, Emily Kay (Phil) Williams of Maryville, IL; two grandsons: Peter Thomas Williams of Hawaii and Stephen Kent Williams of Collinsville, IL; andthree great grandchildren: Peter Jr., Kelia and Cade Williams.

Upon the family's request, Sono is to be cremated and inurnment will take place at the Punch Bowl National Cemetery in Hawaii.

Memorials may be made to the donor's choice and mailed to the funeral home.
