Stephen A. Krause, age 77 of Collinsville, IL, passed away on Tuesday, February 27, 2024 at Anderson Hospital in Maryville, IL.

He was born August 1, 1946 in East St. Louis, IL to the late Albert and Edna (nee Bushner) Krause.  He married Kay Kramer on May 26, 1966 and she survives.

Stephen honorably served in the United States Army.  He retired from the Shell Oil Refinery after 30+ years of service as a security supervisor.  He enjoyed working around his home.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Mark S. Krause; and a brother, Robert Krause.

Surviving are his wife, Kay Krause; granddaughter, Meaghan (Dylan) Staten; a brother, Clyde Lewis; sister, Bev (Kenny) White; numerous nieces and nephews.

Stephen's wishes were to be cremated and no services will be held at this time.
