Teresa Mary Gili, age 58 of Collinsville, IL, born February 24, 1965, in Belleville, passed away on Saturday, April 15, 2023, at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, MO surrounded by family.

She was a 1983 Collinsville High School graduate and was the organizer for the class reunions.  She attained her bachelor's degree from Webster University and worked as a Unit Training Manager for the United States Air Force, 375th Operations Support Squadron at Scott Air Force Base until retiring.

Teresa loved being known as the "Italian Aunt".  She also loved being a teacher, cook, and election judge.  She enjoyed watching old family TV shows.

She was preceded in death by her parents, John P. and Shirley (nee Sonnenberg) Gili.

Surviving is her brother, John (Mendy) Gili of Collinsville; her sister, Jacquelyn (Michael) Hostetter of Edwardsville; and "Big Sister", Barb Shaffer of Collinsville; a niece, Lauren (Will) Morrison; four nephews:  Kyle Hostetter (fiancé, Jazmine Patton), Zachery Gili, Christopher, and Alex Morgan; great-nephew, Charlie Morrison, special cousin Mackenzie Askew; best friends Jamie Wilds and Sharon Simons; her canine companion, Buster; and many extended family members and friends.

Memorial visitation will be 9 – 11 a.m. on Saturday, May 20, 2023, at Barry Wilson Funeral Home in Maryville, IL.

A memorial service will follow at 11 a.m. with Rev. John Hellrung officiating.  Burial will be in St. John Cemetery, Collinsville, IL.
