Thomas "Tom" A. Ross, age 84 of Collinsville, IL, born August 5, 1935 in Granite City, IL, passed away on Tuesday, March 24, 2020 at his residence.

Tom was a retired social worker having worked for the Masonic Children's Home in LaGrange, IL from 1985 – 1999.  He was a member of the First United Presbyterian Church, enjoyed classical music, and reading.

He was preceded in death by his parents, H. Arthur and Vera nee McClellan Ross.

He is survived by his loving wife, Sarah nee Johnson Ross, whom he married April 11, 1970; a son, Michael "Mike" (Cindy) Ross of Taylorville, IL; two grandchildren:  Danielle and Shannon Ross; and two great grandchildren:  Shey and Cooper Champly.

Private graveside services will be held at a later date.  Burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery, Greencastle, IN.

Memorials in Tom's honor may be made to Shriner's Hospital for Children and can be mailed to the funeral home at 2800 N Center Street, Maryville, IL 62062.
