Timothy Thomas Doherty, age 72 of Maryville, IL, born December 19, 1951, in Little Rock, AR, passed away on Friday, December 22, 2023, at his residence surrounded by his family.

Tim retired from AT&T (formerly SBC/Southwestern Bell) as a computer and network manager.  He was a member of Copper Creek Christian Church in Maryville. He was an avid tennis player, enjoyed riding bikes, playing golf, and pickle ball.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Marwin and Marienne ( nee Opp ) Doherty.

Surviving are his wife, Karen ( nee Biermann ) Doherty, whom he married November 23, 1974; four sons:  Timothy (Bethany) Doherty, Christopher Doherty, Nathan (Melissa) Doherty, and Kyle Doherty; five grandchildren:  Timothy, Thomas, Reagan, Calum and Vienna; and two brothers:  Patrick Doherty of Dallas, TX and Michael (JoAnn) Doherty of Aiken, SC.

Visitation will be 5 – 7 p.m. on Thursday, December 28, 2023, at Copper Creek Christian Church, 2184 Vadalabene, Maryville, IL.

Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. on Friday, December 29, 2023, at the church with Rev. Jeff Chamberlain officiating.
