Todd M. Evers, age 60, of Collinsville, IL, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 31, 2024 at Brightly Senior Living in Mascoutah, IL, surrounded by his family after a hard-fought battle with brain cancer.
Todd was born on January 26, 1964 in East St. Louis, IL, to the late Bernard and Betty (nee Karrer) Evers. He graduated from Collinsville High School in 1982, and earned his RPh from St. Louis College of Pharmacy in 1987.
Todd was the owner of the Evers Group of Pharmacies and worked as a pharmacist for over 37 years. He served on the Board of Trustees for the St. Louis College of Pharmacy. Todd served as Secretary, Vice President, President, and Chairman of the Board of the Illinois Pharmacists Association (IPhA). He was also a member of the Metro-East Pharmacists Association and was a founding member and Treasurer of the Gateway East Pharmacy Association.
Todd enjoyed playing golf, poker, blackjack, and traveling, especially to the beach. He was an avid St. Louis Blues, Cardinals, and Rams fan.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Brenda (nee Evers) Gasser.
Surviving are his devoted wife, Angela (nee Farenzena) Evers, who he married October 24, 1987; two beloved children: Drake (Alyssa) Evers of St. Peters, MO and Alexis (Robert Wakeley) Evers of Portland OR; a brother, Tim (Sue) Evers of Ft. Myers, FL; a sister, Linda (Tim) Lauth of Collinsville, IL; as well as numerous nieces.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 12 noon on Saturday, August 10 at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 1300 Beltline Road, Collinsville, IL.
The funeral service will follow at 12 noon with Rev. Andrew Packer and Rev. Michael Walther officiating.
Memorials are suggested to the IPhA Foundation, Glioblastoma Foundation, and Good Shepherd Lutheran Church. Memorials will be received at the visitation or can be mailed to Barry Wilson Funeral Home, 2800 N. Center Street, Maryville, IL 62062.
