Obituary

Treva Jean Chartrand, age 71 of Alhambra, IL, passed away at 4:32 p.m. Friday, November 6, 2020 at St. Louis University Hospital.

She was born December 11, 1948 in Campbell, MO, daughter of the late Harry Lee Boggs and Mabel (nee Jones) Mathis.  She married Joseph Thomas Chartrand on July 3, 1965 in Edwardsville, IL and he precedes her in death.

Treva was a caregiver, managed her and her husband's rental properties and business, Joe's Auto Repair, and also worked at Basler Electric in the production line.  She was very active with her church, Metro Community Church, in Edwardsville, IL.  She loved horseback riding and equestrian activities with her family, and enjoyed spending time with the entire Chartrand family, friends and her special friend, Dale Guerrant.  She touched the hearts of everyone she met and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; two daughters, Lori Ann and Jennifer Jean Chartrand; and two brothers, Leon Boggs and Robert Wayne Boggs.

She is survived by one son, Kevin Lee Chartrand and Kristy Brewer of Alhambra, IL; two daughters, Vicki Lynn McKinney and husband Micah McKinney of Edwardsville, IL, Tammy Jo Chartrand and Eddie Kostyshock of Alhambra, IL; granddaughter, Ashley Jo Daniels and husband Michael Daniels; grandson, Zachary Thomas Gregg and Selena Lyons; a great grandson, Aceson John Gregg; Javonni Winchester and Cadence Middleton.

Visitation will be 4 – 7 p.m. on Wednesday, November 11, 2020 at Barry Wilson Funeral Home, Maryville, IL.  Due to the current COVID restrictions, social distancing guidelines will be observed and face masks are required.

Funeral service will be at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, November 12, 2020 at Metro Community Church, 3551 Ridge View Road, Edwardsville, IL with Rev. Paul Westbrook officiating.  Burial will be in Sunset Hill Cemetery, Glen Carbon, IL.

Memorials may be made in Treva's honor to Metro Community Church and will be received at the funeral home.
