Verda Elizabeth Ostle, age 89 of Collinsville, IL, born December 18, 1927 in Bisbee, AZ, passed away on Wednesday, November 15, 2017 at her residence surrounded by family.

Verda and her husband, James, were the owner and operators of the former Ostle Pharmacy in Collinsville, IL. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Collinsville where she was involved with the nursery, missionary committee, and college/career class for many years. The Ostle's opened their home to many missionaries, and several college students over the years.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Johnnie Thomas and India nee Lord Cox; her husband, James Robert Ostle, whom she married June 10, 1952; a sister, Vera Deafenbaugh; and a brother, Vernon Cox.

She is survived by two daughters: Judy (Doug) Weiss and Jayme (Chuck) Wagner both of Collinsville, IL; four grandchildren: Sarah (Josh Rogers) Weiss, Aly (Ryan) Kreider, Cara (Andrew) Lecrone, and Kristen Wagner; one great grandson, Kaiden Kreider; special families: Mary (Tim) Soliday of Tucson, AZ and Josh (Miranda) Dix of St. Louis, MO.

Memorial visitation will be 2pm to 3pm on Saturday, November 18, 2017 at First Baptist Church of Collinsville, 723 St. Louis Road, Collinsville, IL.

Celebration of Life service will be at 3pm following the visitation withPastor Josh Taylor officiating.
