Virginia Lee Gray, age 87 of Collinsville, IL, born February 20,1938 in St. Louis, MO, passed away on Wednesday, April 23, 2025, at Hitz Memorial Home in Alhambra, IL.

Virginia was a homemaker, and she also helped on the family farm and managed family rental properties.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and Mamie (nee Rice) Pennell; her husband, Donald Gray; a son, Thomas Gray; 6 sisters, and 3 brothers.

She is survived by 3 daughters: Elaine Fournie of Collinsville, IL; Judy (Mark) Cronin of Grover Beach, CA; and Norma (Richard) Rupprecht of Glen Carbon, IL; a son, Ronald (Kristie) Gray of Granite City, IL; 11 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren; and 1 great-great grandson.

Visitation will be held from 9 to 11 a.m. on Saturday, April 26, 2025, at Barry Wilson Funeral Home in Maryville, IL.

A funeral service will immediately follow the visitation and will begin at 11 a.m., with Rev. Roger Wright officiating. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery in Edwardsville, IL.
