William M. Biehl, 77, of Collinsville, IL, passed away peacefully on Monday, April 13, 2026, at San Gabriel Memory Care in Highland, IL with his wife and family by his side.
He was born October 10, 1948, in East St. Louis, IL, to the late Myron and Theresa (née Lecce) Biehl. On October 3, 1970, he married Mary E. (Groesch) Biehl, who survives.
William was a proud 1966 graduate of Collinsville High School and honorably served in the Air Force Reserves. He built a successful career in sales and management within the heavy-duty truck parts industry.
He was a member of the New Switzerland Model Railroad Club and Train Town. William enjoyed fishing, cooking, barbecuing, and taking pride in his yard. He was an avid fan of baseball, NASCAR, and NHRA racing. Above all, he cherished traveling and spending time with his family, who were the center of his life.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a grandson, Gabriel Cleo Biehl; a half sister, Barbara Ann (nee Boneau) Wright; and his beloved pets, Maggie and Luci.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Mary E. Biehl of Collinsville, IL; two sons: Michael (Stacey) Biehl of Collinsville, IL and William (Erin) Biehl of Troy, IL; five grandchildren: Pam Biehl, Tristan Biehl, Liam Biehl, Greyson Biehl, Andrew McFain (Kathyrn Davenport).
Visitation will be held from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, April 21, 2026, at SS Peter & Paul Catholic Church, 207 Vandalia Street, Collinsville, IL. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow, with Father Michael Haag officiating. Interment with military honors will take place at St. Peter & Paul Catholic Cemetery in Collinsville.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association and will be received at the visitation or may be mailed to Barry Wilson Funeral Home, 2800 N. Center Street, Maryville, Illinois 62062.
