William Wayne Queen, Sr. age 76 of Collinsville, IL, born February 22, 1948 in St. Louis, MO, peacefully passed away on Tuesday, April 16, 2024 surrounded by his loving family.

William retired from Diversified Contractors as a construction truck driver and a concrete finisher.  He honorably served in the United States Army.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ivan and Alma (nee Simpson) Queen; four sisters; and a great-granddaughter, April Lynn.

Surviving are his loving wife of 25 years, Ginny (nee Mallicoat) Queen;  four children:  William (Tasha Bussa) Queen, Jr., Danielle Johnson, Brandon Johnson and Tiffany (Josh Luebbers) Queen; nine grandchildren:  Kallie, Izabelle, Kelsie, Trinity, Makenzze, Karson, Kora, Jeanette and Ivan; a bonus granddaughter, Melissa and a bonus son, Paul Craig.

William's wishes were to be cremated and a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.

Memorials may be made in William's honor to Wounded Warriors or your local veterans group, and will be received at Barry Wilson Funeral Home, 2800 N. Center Street, Maryville, IL 62062.
